VINYL - LIFETIME

THE WHITE VINYL COMPONENTS are warranted as long as you own and reside in your single family home against defects such as blistering, flaking, peeling and corroding provided that the recommended cleaning practices have been followed. FACTORY APPLIED EXTERIOR & INTERIOR FINISHES are warranted for ten (10) years from date of original product purchase against peeling, blistering or flaking. Freight & installation shall be homeowners responsibility.

INSULATING GLASS UNIT - LIFETIME

THE INSULATED GLASS is warranted against defects resulting in material obstruction of vision from film formation caused by moisture in the airspace of the sealed unit.  If condensation appears between the two pieces of glass Energy King Windows & Doors will furnish replacement glass without charge.  Freight and installation shall be homeowners responsibility.

GLASS BREAKAGE WARRANTY - LIFETIME (residential only)

If the glass of the Energy King Windows & Doors purchased with double strength glass breaks during the warranty period, the manufacturer will replace the glass component at no charge. Freight & installation shall be homeowners responsibility.

THIS LIFETIME BREAKAGE WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER THE FOLLOWING

 1. Breakage caused by riot, civil disorder.

 2. Building settlement or structural failures of walls or foundations.

 3. Breakage due to acts of God and severe weather events.

SCREEN - LIFETIME

THE SCREEN FRAME is warranted against blistering, flaking, or peeling  for as long as original purchaser occupies the home. THE FIBERGLASS SCREEN CLOTH is warranted against insect damage, tears or accidental punctures. If it does, Energy King Windows & Doors will ship a new fiberglass screen cloth. Freight & installation shall be homeowners responsibility.

HARDWARE - LIFETIME

THE HARDWARE is warranted against defects such as peeling, flaking, or blistering for the life of the product. Freight & installation shall be homeowners responsibility.

TRANSFER OF WARRANTY

VINYL, GLASS SEAL FAILURE AND HARDWARE PORTION of the warranty are transferable by the original residential homeowner to the next occupied owner of the property.

The Energy King Windows & Doors must receive the attached form and a check for $50 within 60 days after official transfer of the property. Failure to submit payment and written notice of transfer in 60 days will result in the termination of warranty coverage.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

The manufacturer reserves the right to repair or replace any defective part that fails to meet the requirements stated in this warranty.

Color matching is not guaranteed. Replacement components or parts will be shipped at the homeowners expense. LABOR COSTS ARE NOT INCLUDED under this warranty and neither the manufacturer nor its dealer will be responsible for any costs incurred in the removal, replacement, installation or reinstallation of products or parts furnished under this warranty.

COMMERCIAL / MULTI FAMILY RESIDENTS

Other then owner occupied single family residence the warranty will be limited to 10 years from original purchase on all material or conclusion of the original warranty which ever comes first.

WHAT THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER

ENERGY KING WINDOWS & DOORS is not liable for:

​  Normal wear and tear, weathering of factory applied finishes.

​  Normal wear and tear to hardware and natural occurring changes to hardware finishes (tarnishing).

​  Damage caused by chemicals (salt spray, brick wash, airborne pollutants).

​  Product failure due to misuse or abuse, damage caused by failure to provide maintenance (also fire, flood, hurricanes,tornadoes, earthquake, or other acts of nature, or any other conditions that exceed product design standards (that are test certified ) as referenced in Energy King Window’s published literature.

​ Improper installation, operational problems, and problems relating to water, air infiltration or leaking as a result of improper installation or flaws in building design or construction.

​  Product performance decline due to aging, inert gas dissipation. The migration of an inert gas, such as argon is a natural process that occurs over time and is not a defect.

​  Condensation, mold or mildew, damage resulting from condensation is related to excessive humidity levels in a structure.  Energy King Windows & Doors will not be liable for any damages, resulting from condensation, mold or mildew.

​  Fading or changing in color to the factory applied finishes is not a defect.

​  Faulty building design, inadequate flashing or caulking, building settlement.

​  Shipping or freight expense.

​  The maximum claim for glass breakage cannot exceed $ 500.  Evidenced by copy of insurance claim resolution of such event and evidence of insurance deductible to a maximum cost of $ 500 during the term of this warranty.

IMPORTANT LEGAL INFORMATION

This warranty set forth is Energy King Windows & Doors’ Inc. maximum liability for its products. Energy King Windows & Doors shall not be liable for special, indirect, consequential or incidental damages. Your sole and exclusive remedy with respect to any and all losses or damages resulting from any cause whatsoever shall be as specified above. Energy King Windows & Doors makes no other warranty or guarantee, either expressed or implied, including implied warranties of merchantable and fitness for a particular purpose to the original purchaser or any subsequent use of the product, except as expressly contained herein. In the event state law precluded exclusion or limitation of implied warranties, the duration of any such warranties shall be no longer than in the time and manner of presenting any claim thereon shall be the same as that provided in the express warranty stated herein. No distributor, dealer or representative of Energy King Windows & Doors has the authority to change, modify or expand this warranty. The original purchaser of this product acknowledges that they have read this warranty, understand it and are bound by its terms.

To initiate a claim under this warranty,  Energy King Windows & Doors must be notified in writing promptly after discovery of claimed defect, describing in detail.

(1) Defect claimed.

(2) Proof of date of purchase.

(3) Proof of property ownership at date of window purchase.

(4) Product type.

(5) Order number and date (located on each sash).

(6) Photograph of defect.

When warranty coverage is unclear, Energy King Windows & Doors may charge an inspection fee of $100 for any on-site inspection. If the inspector determines the product has a defect covered by this warranty the inspection fee will be waived.
